Bisping has been forced into a medical suspension of 60 days with 45 days of non-contact during training thanks to the cuts around his eyes. The U.K. star also needs a CT scan of his head and face or else he is to be suspended for 180 days. His suspension is the longest of all the fighters on this past Saturday’s card. Bisping held off Henderson to win a unanimous decision and defend hi s middleweight title in the UFC 204 headliner in Manchester.
MMAjunkie.com received the suspensions from the promotion on Thursday. The UFC regulates itself in countries without official athletic commissions.
Meanwhile, Henderson earned himself a 30-day suspension with 21 days of no contact due to the laceration on his face, but the ruling is moot because the longtime MMA legend announced his retirement after the fight.
Light heavyweight contender Ovince St. Preux, who was brutally knocked out by Jimi Manuwa and had his left leg folded underneath his body, needs an X-ray on his knee or else he’ll serve a 180-day suspension. Also, “OSP” has been docked 45 days with 30 of those days being no contact due to his knockout loss.
