UFC 208 Weigh-in Results: Holm, De Randamie Primed for Inaugural Featherweight Title

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Empire State on Saturday with a card set to take your hard-earned money through pay-per-view. UFC 208 (current odds) is stacked from top to the bottom with intriguing matchups.

The main event will see Holm vie to win a UFC world championship in a second championship and if she is successful, she’ll be only the fourth fighter in the organization’s history to do so (behind Randy Couture, B.J. Penn and Conor McGregor). Holm, who captured world titles in professional boxing at super lightweight, welterweight, and junior middleweight, is considered by many within the Sweet Science as the greatest woman to ever lace up boxing gloves. She simultaneously held and defended the titles on multiple occasions, dropping down and jumping back up weight several times. At Friday’s weigh-ins, the former UFC women’s bantamweight queen came in right on the money for the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight crown; Holm weighed 144.4 pounds.

Germaine de Randamie, meanwhile, was among the elite in women’s muay Thai when she was tearing that sport to ribbons. The Dutch fighter never lost in that sport, having collected the WIKBA, IMTF and WPKL world titles. “The Iron lady” also holds the record for most consecutive victories in women’s kickboxing with 37. Though de Randamie hasn’t yet achieved in MMA what Holm has, the Utrecht resident has lost just once since 2012, with that defeat coming at the hands of current Terminator Amanda Nunes. Like her main event counterpart, De Randamie was on point at the scale and came in officially at 143.6 pounds.

UFC 208 will begin on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET. From there, the action will shift to FS1 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT for the remainder of the prelims before heading to pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT for the main card.
