Promotion officials announced the lightweight booking on Wednesday. UFC 210 takes place at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo on April 8 and is headlined by a light heavyweight championship rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson.
A four-time NCAA All-American wrestler at Edinboro University, Gillespie is unbeaten in eight professional MMA appearances. “The Gift” made his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 95, where he took a unanimous decision victory over Glaico Franca on Sept. 24.
Holbrook, meanwhile, has been victorious in two of his first three UFC bouts. Most recently, the 31-year-old Indianapolis native took a split decision over Australian prospect Jake Matthews at UFC Fight Night 101 on Nov. 26. Holbrook is 12-1 as a professional overall.
