After being discovered on “Dana White: Lookin’ For a Fight,” Jared Gordon will make his Octagon debut against Michel Quinones at UFC 211.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the featherweight pairing on Tuesday night. UFC 211 takes place at American Airlines Arena in Dallas and is headlined by a heavyweight championship clash between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos.
Gordon, 28, has compiled a 12-1 record since beginning his professional career in 2011. Much of that tenure has occurred under the Cage Fury Fighting Championship banner, where he was the promotion’s featherweight champion. The Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu product has finished five of his wins by KO/TKO and two via submission.
Quinones will also be making his promotional debut. The 32-year-old Floridian enters the matchup on a five-fight winning streak and is 8-1 as a pro overall. His lone defeat came to Brandon Girtz at Bellator 80 in November 2012.
