A bantamweight clash pitting Rob Font against Douglas Silva de Andrade has been added to the UFC 213 lineup.
The Las Vegas-based promotion recently confirmed the pairing. UFC 213 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 8 and is headlined by a women’s bantamweight title tilt between Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko. In the co-main event, Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker will vie for the interim middleweight crown.
Font, 29, has been victorious in three of his first four promotional appearances. Most recently, the Boston native scored a first-round TKO of Matt Schnell at “The Ultimate Fighter 24” finale on Dec. 3. Font’s only defeat in the past 13 outings came against bantamweight contender John Lineker at UFC 198.
Andrade began his professional tenure with 22 consecutive triumphs — along with one no contest — on the regional circuit. After dropping a unanimous verdict to Zubaira Tukhugov in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 36 in February 2014, the 31-year-old Brazilian has earned back-to-back triumphs over Cody Gibson and Enrique Briones to improve to 24-1 overall.
