UPDATED UFC 216 Weigh-in Results: Kevin Lee Hits Mark on Second Attempt

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight titleholder Conor McGregor remains on the sidelines following his blockbuster boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr., leaving Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee to pick up his slack in the UFC 216 headliner Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

That was the plan -- until Lee failed to make weight on his first attempt, coming in one pound (156) over the allowance for a title bout. He was cleared by a doctor before attempting to drop the pound and eventually hit 154.5 pounds, making the five-round headliner official. Ferguson checked in at 155 pounds. Meanwhile, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (125) and challenger Ray Borg (124) met their mandatory weight requirements without incident at Friday’s official weigh-in.

UFC 216 “Ferguson vs. Lee” -- which airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT -- also features a heavyweight clash pairing two-time Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championships gold medalist Fabricio Werdum (247) with Derrick Lewis (263.5), a women’s flyweight affair pitting Kalindra Faria (125) against Mara Romero Borella (126) and a lightweight scrap matching Beneil Dariush (156) with Evan Dunham (156).

One bout will not go forward as planned, however, as Nick Lentz has been pulled from the card due to “medical issues,” as first reported by CombatPress.com on Twitter. His opponent, Will Brooks, successfully hit his target of 156 pounds.
