UFC 218 Weigh-in Results: Max Holloway, Jose Aldo Given Final Go-Ahead in Detroit

Jose Aldo ruled the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s featherweight division for nearly five years, and by the looks of it, he wants his old job back.

Aldo tipped the scales at 145 pounds, as he prepares to fill in for an injured Frankie Edgar and challenge current champion Max Holloway (145) in the UFC 218 main event on Saturday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Meanwhile, heavyweight co-headliners Francis Ngannou (262) and Alistair Overeem (247) cleared their last remaining hurdle at Friday’s official weigh-in.

UFC 218 “Holloway vs. Aldo 2” -- which airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT -- also features a flyweight battle matching Henry Cejudo (126) with Sergio Pettis (126), a lightweight clash pitting Eddie Alvarez (155) against Justin Gaethje (156) and a women’s strawweight encounter pairing Tecia Torres (116) with Michelle Waterson (115).
