A rumored lightweight showdown between Al Iaquinta and Paul Felder is official for UFC 223 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The promotion confirmed the pairing to Newsday on Wednesday. Iaquinta and Felder were originally slated to meet at UFC 218 before Iaquinta withdrew from the bout due to injury. UFC 223 takes place at the Barclays Center on April 7 and is headlined by a lightweight title clash between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Iaquinta enters the matchup riding the momentum of a five-fight winning streak. The Serra-Longo Fight Team representative returned from a two-year hiatus at UFC Fight Night 108 in April, when he knocked out Diego Sanchez in the opening stanza.

After Iaquinta’s withdrawal, Felder earned a second-round technical knockout of replacement foe Charles Oliveira at UFC 218 on Dec. 2. “The Irish Dragon” has been victorious in five of his last six Octagon appearances.
