UFC 80 ‘Rapid Fire’ Card Grows
UFC on its official Web site Thursday announced several bouts for
Jan. 19's "Rapid Fire" card, which takes place at the Metro Radio
Arena in Newcastle, England.
In a match originally slated for UFC 76, American Top Team's Wilson Gouveia (Pictures) (9-4-0) will take on North County Fight Club's Jason Lambert (Pictures) (23-6-0). The light heavyweights were to clash back in September, but a broken nose suffered by Gouveia in training forced him to withdraw.
Also added to the bill were Alessio Sakara (Pictures) (11-6-0) versus James Lee (13-2-0), Sam Stout (Pictures) (12-3-1) vs. Per Eklund (Pictures) (12-2-1) and a local grudge match pitting Paul Kelly (6-0-0) against Paul Taylor (Pictures) (8-2-1).
