Jiangling was coming off of a first-round knockout of Anton Zafir at “The Ultimate Fighter 23” Finale has in January, but was forced out due to an undisclosed injury just over three weeks before the contest. In his stead, Michigan native Bobby Nash will step in to face Li.

The 26-year-old Nash, 8-1 as a pro MMA fighter, has won six in a row, including five straight stoppages. Most recently, in August, Nash knocked out World Series of Fighting veteran Lewis Gonzalez in the second round at Global Knockout 7 in Jackson, Calif. That win has earned Nash the UFC bid, and now he will step into the Li out on just over four weeks' notice.

The 28-year-old Jiangling, has alternated wins and losses inside the Octagon, compiling a 3-2 record in his UFC tenure. In addition to his win last July over Zafir, “The Leech” has topped Dhiego Lima and David Michaud in the UFC.

The UFC's Jan. 28 bill, UFC on Fox 23, is headlined by a high-stakes women bantamweight bout between Julianna Pena and Valentina Shevchenko.
