Both Yair Rodriguez and B.J. Penn could be facing lengthy layoffs following their main event showdown at UFC Fight Night 103 on Sunday night.
Rodriguez has been suspended indefinitely pending physician clearance following his second-round technical knockout victory at Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix, while Penn, who was fighting for the first time since July 2014, will be sidelined for 180 days.
The Arizona Department of Gaming recently released medicals from the event but did not reveal specifics regarding each fighter’s suspension. All told, 15 competitors from UFC Fight Night 103 received at least a 30-day sit.
Devin Powell and Nina Ansaroff were also handed 180-day suspensions, while Ben Saunders and Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger have been sidelined indefinitely pending medical clearance.
