By Tristen Critchfield Apr 12, 2017

A welterweight showdown pitting Nicholas Musoke against Bojan Velickovic has been added to the UFC Fight Night 109 lineup.

The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the pairing on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night 109 takes place at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm on May 28 and is headlined by a light heavyweight tilt between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira. The evening’s main card airs on Fox Sports 1.

Musoke will return to the Octagon after more than a two-year layoff. “Nico” last appeared at UFC on Fox 14 in January 2015, when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Albert Tumenov. The 31-year-old Stockholm native is 3-2 in the Octagon and 13-4 as a professional overall.

After besting Alessio Di Chirico in his promotional debut, Velickovic has battled Michael Graves to a draw at UFC 201 and dropped a split verdict to Sultan Aliev at UFC on Fox 22. The 28-year-old Serbian owns a 14-4-1 professional mark, with 11 of his triumphs coming inside the distance.
