matchups. Headlining
UFC Fight Night 112 “Chiesa vs. Lee” is a lightweight grudge
match between new enemies Michael
Chiesa and Kevin Lee and
at Saturday’s weigh-ins, they both cleared the final hurdle before
they are allowed to knock each other’s block off.
Lee, a fast-rising contender from the Xtreme Couture camp in Las Vegas, has won four in a row and eight of nine overall. “The Motown Phenom” started his feud with Chiesa at the press conference to announce their battle by talking trash about Chiesa’s mom. They two came to blows at the presser, which added tons of hype going into this fight. Lee weighed in at 156 pounds.
Chiesa, has been nearly just as hot inside the Octagon as his
adversary, having won three straight and five of six overall.
“Maverick” vowed to clobber Lee when he got his hands on him and
looked as ready as ever on the scales. The Sikjitsu representative
came in at 155.
Former UFC welterweight champ Johny Hendricks found a way to miss weight at middleweight (188) against Tim Boetsch. Coming off a loss to “Jacare” Souza in February, Boetsch checked in at 186.
UFC Fight Night 112 will begin the day with the prelims on UFC Fight Pass at 5:30 p.m./2:30 p.m. PT. From there, the preliminary action shifts to FS2 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, followed by the main card on FS1 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
