UFC Fight Night 119 Update: Rob Font, Pedro Munhoz to Lock Horns in Sao Paulo

By Tristen Critchfield Sep 13, 2017

A bantamweight clash pitting Rob Font against Pedro Munhoz has been added to the UFC Fight Night 119 lineup.

Promotion officials recently announced the booking. UFC Fight Night 119 takes place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo on Oct. 28 and is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson.

Font has been victorious in four of his five Octagon appearances, including a second-round submission of Douglas Silva de Andrade in his most recent outing at UFC 213. The CES MMA veteran is 14-2 as a professional, with 10 victories coming inside the distance.

Munhoz, meanwhile, enters the matchup on a three-fight winning streak that includes submissions of Justin Scoggins and Russell Doane. Most recently, “The Young Punisher” outpointed Damian Stasiak at UFC Fight Night 109 on May 28. Like Font, Munhoz owns a 14-2 career mark.
