UFC Fight Night 123 Marks Promotion’s Fresno Debut on Dec. 9
The Ultimate Fighting Championship will head to Fresno, Calif., for
the first time on Dec. 9.
The event, entitled UFC Fight Night 123, will take place at the Save Mart Center. The card will air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. No bouts were revealed for the event.
While the UFC will be making its inaugural journey to Fresno, the city has hosted large mixed martial arts promotions in the past. The now-defunct Strikeforce organization held multiple events at the Save Mart Center beginning in 2006, while Bellator MMA last traveled to Fresno for Bellator 156 on June 17, 2016.
The UFC has held 25 events in California in the past 11 years. Most recently, the Las Vegas-based promotion brought the Octagon to Anaheim, Calif., for UFC 214, which was headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.
