Charles Oliveira kept his perfect record intact, showed flashes of pure brilliance and pocketed a $40,000 “Submission of the Night” bonus, as he coaxed a tapout from Efrain Escudero in a featured lightweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 22 on Wednesday at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Unbeaten in 14 fights as a professional, Oliveira capitalized on a scramble, took back control on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 8 winner and cinched the rear-naked choke for the finish 2:25 into round three. The 20-year-old Brazilian has secured 13 of his 14 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.

Oliveira was not the only UFC Fight Night 22 participant to attract “Submission of the Night” honors. American Top Team’s Cole Miller earned a $40,000 bonus after he racked Ross Pearson with a left hook, pounced on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 9 winner and submitted him with a rear-naked choke 1:49 into round two of their lightweight duel.

Meanwhile, Kyle Kingsbury and Jared Hamman banked matching $40,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses after they engaged in a three-round battle on the undercard. Kingsbury swept the scorecards, earning 29-28 nods from all three judges.

Finally, Brian Foster received a $40,000 “Knockout of the Night” bonus after he stopped Forrest Petz on punches in just 67 seconds. Foster put his foe with a ringing right hand and polished him off with strikes on the ground.
