Four men walked away from UFC Fight Night 34 with an extra $50,000 in hand, as Tarec Saffiedine, Hyun Gyu Lim, Russell Doane and Max Holloway each earned post-fight bonuses.
Saffiedine and Lim shared “Fight of the Night” honors for their five-round welterweight headliner from the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, while Doane and Holloway picked up “Submission of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night,” respectively.
Saturday’s show streamed live via UFC Fight Pass and saw Saffiedine dominate Lim in rounds two through four before surviving a late charge from the South Korean to take a unanimous decision in the main event.
Doane was aggressive from the get-go in his bantamweight clash with Leandro Issa, hurting “Brodinho” with strikes before rendering the One Fighting Championship veteran unconscious with a second-round triangle choke.
Holloway closed out the evening’s undercard in style, though he initially had trouble navigating the distance against lanky Octagon debutant Will Chope. The Hawaiian found his range in the second stanza, however, drilling his man with a solid spinning back kick before unloading with a hard flurry of punches to seal the victory.
