All drug tests conducted at UFC Fight Night 36 came back negative, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA).
The event also saw Ronaldo Souza prevail in another pivotal middleweight contest, as “Jacare” outpointed Francis Carmont in the evening’s co-main event. Additionally, welterweight prospect Erick Silva emerged victorious on the main card, scoring a 52-second knockout of Takenori Sato.
UFC Fight Night 36 marked the Las Vegas-based promotion’s first trip to Brazil this year. The organization will return to the birthplace of vale tudo on March 23, when UFC Fight Night 39 goes down from Nelio Dias Gymnasium in Natal, Brazil.
