Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced on Tuesday that yet another fight has been tacked on to the UFC Fight Night 96 card, which goes down on Oct. 1 at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore.
A women’s bantamweight showdown between Ketlen Vieira, an unbeaten prospect who has been running roughshod over the regional scene in her native Brazil, and Kelly Faszholz, will help bolster the quickly-expanding UFC Fight Night 96 marquee.
The announcement comes less than a day after it was revealed that the card will also feature a pair of lightweight bouts. Former Bellator 155-pound champion Will Brooks will make his Octagonal debut against “Cowboy” Alex Oliveira while Bobby Green will take on Joshua Burkman. A light heavyweight tussle between Luis Henrique da Silva and Joachim Christensen was also announced.
UFC Fight Night 96, which will be the first UFC event in the “Rose City” since 2009, will be aired live on both UFC Fight Pass and Fox Sports 1.
