The Ultimate Fighting Championship will stay home in Las Vegas on Sunday when the world’s most powerful MMA promotion puts on yet another solid card of action. UFC Fight Night “Almeida vs. Garbrandt” will take place inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center and at Saturday afternoon’s weigh-ins, all of the main card fighters were on point, giving the event the green light, per the norm.
In the main event, bantamweights Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt will duke it out in a pivotal matchup. With a potential title shot on the line, both men were on point at the scale. “No Love” officially weighed in at 135.5 pounds, much to the delight of his growing legion of fans. Not to be outdone, “Thominhas” tipped the scale at 136 pounds, setting the stage for what should be a slugfest between two undefeated brawlers.
Former 135-pound champion Renan Barao aims to stay afloat in the scheme of things title-related. The Brazilian will lock horns with Jeremey Stephens in the event’s co-feature and both men cleared weight without issue. Barao officially weighed in at 146 pounds while “Lil’ Heathen” came in at 146.
The preliminary card will stream live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. The undercard will be televised live on FS1 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with the main card immediately following on the same channel.
