Iuri Alcantara and Vaughan Lee will square off when the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Germany next month.
UFC officials announced the UFC Fight Night bantamweight duel on Tuesday. The contest takes place at O2 World in Berlin and airs live on UFC Fight Pass. The May 31 event is headlined by a middleweight duel pitting Gegard Mousasi against Mark Munoz and will additionally see Francis Carmont take on C.B. Dollaway in the co-main event.
Alcantara, 33, last competed on Feb. 15, when he edged Bellator veteran Wilson Reis in a split decision at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Mousasi.” The victory followed an August defeat for the Brazilian, who was outpointed by former title contender Urijah Faber at UFC Fight Night 26.
Lee, 31, will also enter the Octagon on the heels of a victory, as the Englishman took a unanimous decision from Nam Phan last month at UFC Fight Night “Kim vs. Hathaway.” Lee competed twice in 2013, outpointing Motonobu Tezuka before submitting to a Rafael Assuncao armbar last June.
