UFC Fight Night in Dublin may have had its original main event fall by the wayside just a few days for the event occurred, but that’s not to say the event wasn’t littered with some terrific action and performances.

Nicolas Dalby and Darren Till fought a three-round battle and were awarded “Fight of the Night” honors worth $50,000 apiece.

England’s Till was the more dominant of the pair early on as the Astra Fight Team product utilized his superior muay Thai skills to keep his foe at bay. Dalby was relentless in his pursuit to get inside and make it a brawl. Dalby almost ended the skirmish in the third when he took his foe down and pounded away, but the clock betrayed him. The excellent duel ended up being a majority draw, allowing both men to remain unbeaten.

Neil Seery was superb against Jon delos Reyes, eventually securing a guillotine in the second round. Delos Reyes shot in, had his neck wrapped up and then power-slammed Seery to the his back. Unfortunately for delos Reyes, the Irish fighter wrenched the choke up even tighter, getting the submission win and an additional $50,000 for one of the two “Performance of the Night” awards.

The other “Performance” bonus went to rising welterweight contender Tom Breese, who took out Cathal Pendred with a sizzling kick to the body, followed by a barrage of punches. The Englishman handed the Irish fighter his second straight loss, and the first-round stoppage was more than enough to warrant the extra coinage on top of his fight purse.
