bouts.
Originally slated to be headlined by Alexander Gustafsson versus Glover Teixeira, the card is now topped by a strawweight title bout pitting champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk against challenger Jessica Penne. The card goes down June 20 at the 02 World in Berlin.
On Wednesday morning,
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials revealed the 12th and
final bout for the lineup, as Taylor
Lapilus (9-1) will meet Yuta Sasaki
(18-2).
“I am more motivated than ever for this fight,” said Lapilus in a press release distributed by the UFC. “I am confident in my physical and mental preparation … the answer remains in the heart of the fight.”
Lapilus is fresh off a successful Octagon debut against Rocky Lee, whom the Frenchman bested via unanimous decision on April 11. Sasaki is 1-1 in the UFC, with a victory over Roland Delorme and a defeat at the hands of Leandro Issa.
