A middleweight showdown between Andrew Craig and Cezar Ferreira is slated to go down at UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens.”
UFC officials Wednesday announced the booking, which takes place June 28 at AT&T Center in San Antonio. The event airs live on Fox Sports 1 and is headlined by a featherweight main event pitting Cub Swanson against Jeremy Stephens.
Craig, 28, was expected to return to action on April 11 to battle Chris Camozzi at UFC Fight Night 40. However, “Highlight” was forced to withdraw from that booking at the last minute due to illness. The American last competed in October, when he suffered a second-round submission defeat to Luke Barnatt at UFC Fight Night 30.
Ferreira sustained his first Octagon defeat one month ago, when he was knocked out by C.B. Dollaway in just 39 seconds. Prior to that setback, “Mutante” had posted three triumphs, winning “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” with a victory over Sergio Moraes before besting Thiago Santos and Daniel Sarafian.
