The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s debut in New Zealand will now feature a welterweight contest between Neil Magny and Claudio Henrique da Silva.
A cast member on “The Ultimate Fighter 16,” Magny began his UFC career with two losses in his first three fights but has since rebounded with back-to-back victories, outpointing Gasan Umalatov this past February before doing the same to Tim Means last weekend at UFC Fight Night “Brown vs. Silva.”
In da Silva, Magny faces a man who has not lost since 2007. “Hannibal” made his Octagon debut this past March, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Brad Scott to extend his current winning streak to 10 fights.
