UFC Fight Night Weigh-in Results: Thumbs Up for Rose Namajunas, Paige VanZant




Paige VanZant’s degree of difficulty is on the uptick inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s strawweight division.

The Team Alpha Male prospect clocked in at 115.5 pounds ahead of her clash with “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 20 runner-up Rose Namajunas (115.5) in the UFC Fight Night “Namajunas vs. VanZant” main event on Thursday at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Lightweight co-headliners Jim Miller (155.5) and Michael Chiesa (156) also met their contracted weight requirements without issue at Wednesday’s official weigh-in.

UFC Fight Night “Namajunas vs. VanZant” -- which streams to UFC Fight Pass in its entirety at 6:45 p.m. ET/3:45 p.m. PT -- will also feature a lightweight battle pitting the unbeaten Sage Northcutt (155.5) against Cody Pfister (156) and a middleweight tilt pairing “The Ultimate Fighter Nations” winner Elias Theodorou (185) with Thiago Santos (185).

Eight preliminary bouts will round out the card: Tim Means (170) vs. John Howard (170), Omari Akhmedov (170) vs. Sergio Moraes (171), Kevin Casey (185) vs. Antonio Carlos Jr. (185), Aljamain Sterling (135.5) vs. Johnny Eduardo (135), Santiago Ponzinibbio (170) vs. Andreas Stahl (171), Danny Roberts (169.5) vs. Nathan Coy (170), Zubaira Tukhugov (145) vs. Phillipe Nover (145) and Kailin Curran (115) vs. Emily Kagan (115).
