UFC Fight Night Weigh-in Results: Tim Boetsch, Dan Henderson Hit Marks in New Orleans

Dan Henderson still believes he can compete at MMA’s highest level, even as recent results point to the sun setting on his hall-of-fame career.

A loser in five of his last six fights, Henderson checked in at 186 pounds ahead of his five-round battle with Tim Boetsch (185.5) in the UFC Fight Night “Boetsch vs. Henderson” main event on Saturday at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Heavyweight co-headliners Matt Mitrione (255) and Ben Rothwell (265) also received clearance at Friday’s official weigh-in.

UFC Fight Night “Boetsch vs. Henderson” -- the six-fight main card for which airs live on Fox Sports 1 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT -- will also feature a lightweight clash pitting American Top Team’s Dustin Poirier (156) against Yancy Medeiros (*159.5), a featherweight scrap matching former Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion Brian Ortega (146) with Thiago Tavares (146) and a pair of bantamweight tilts, as onetime Bellator MMA titleholder Joe Soto (136) meets Anthony Birchak (136) and “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 12 quarterfinalist Alex Caceres (136) faces Francisco Rivera (136).

Two hours prior, Fox Sports 1 will carry four preliminary bouts: Shawn Jordan (263.5) vs. Derrick Lewis (264.5), Brian Ebersole (170.5) vs. Omari Akhmedov (171), Chris Wade (155.5) vs. Christos Giagos (155.5) and Joe Proctor (156) vs. Justin Edwards (156). The two remaining undercard matchups will stream to UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, as Jake Collier (185) locks horns with Ricardo Abreu (183) and Leonardo Morales (*137) collides with Jose Alberto Quinonez (135.5).
