Round 1
Both fighters circling. Cariaso connects with a kick to the body. Carisaso lands another kick and a jab. Campuzano follows with a shot to the ribs. Cariaso lands a combination. Cariaso continues to utilize kicks to the body and legs. Campuzano misses a combination, and Cariaso follows with a head kick, which is blocked by the Dallas native. Campuzano connects with a solid left hand. The fighters clinch and then separate. Cariaso continues to throw a steady diet of kicks. Campuzano lands another jab. Campuzano lands a powerful kick to the body just before the round expires. 10-9 Cariaso.
Round 2 Campuzano controls the center of the cage early as Cariaso retreats. Both fighters throw combinations, but nothing connects. Campuzano follows with another jab. Cariaso misses a with a jab of his own. Campuano narrowly misses a hook. Both fighters clinch and Campuzano connects with an uppercut. Cariaso goes for a takedown, but Campuznao stuffs it. Both fighters swing wildly against the fencing to start the round. Campuzano misses with a hook in the center of the cage. Cariaso tries a head kick but Campuzano brushes it away. Campuzano lands a knee in the clinch before the fighters separate. Cariaso lands a jab of his own. Carisao goes for a takedown, but Camupzano fights it. Cariaso finally takes his opponent down, but Campuzano lands some elbows and is back to his feet. Cariaso fires and connects with a job. Carisaso is closing the round with combinations and connects with a powerful hook. Cariaso cracks his opoonent with a jab. Campuzano lands a knee with less than 30 seconds remaining. Both fighters close with a flurry, but nothing significant lands. It looks like a close decision.

Amilcar Alves vs. Charlie Brenneman
Round 1
Both fighters are feeling each other out for the first 30 seconds. Brenneman shoots and scores a takedown. Brenneman is now in side control. Alves crawls to the cage. Brenneman keeps his opponent locked up and lands shots to the thigh and kidney. Alves received some knees to the thigh and finally gets to his feet. Brenneman is having none of it and slams the Brazilian back to the canvas. Brenneman now is in Alves’ guard. Alves lands some elbows from his back. Brenneman attempts to pass guard and finally gets into Alves' half guard. Brenneman is now back in the full guard of Alves, where he connects with some punches to the ribs. Now Brennemn gets full mount with 15 seconds remaining, but Alves gets back into half guard. Brenneman lands a couple of significant punches just as the horn sounds. 10-9 Brenneman.
Round 2
Alves misses with a low leg kick. The Brazilian connects with another low kick, but Brenneman is able to follow with a takedown. Brenneman pushes Alves against the cage, but is unable to sweep his opponent to the mat. Now Brenneman has double underhooks as a chant of “U.S.A.” breaks out. The fighters are separated. Brenneman shoots but Alves stuffs and lands a couple knees, and Brenneman is persistent and scores yet another takedown. Brenneman lands four or five punches to Alves' face from side control. In half guard, Brenneman grinds his opponent into the cage. He works into side control, and Alves shows no signs of getting up. Alves finally connects with some elbows from half guard as the round ends. 10-9 Brenneman.
Round 3
Alves needs to finish the fight to have any chance of winning. Brenneman still looks fresh as the fighters circle each other. Alves feints and then lands a jab. Alves fakes a knee, and Brenneman pushes him against the cage again before taking him down and moving into side control. Alves receives three solid knees to the body. Alves is in full guard and throwing elbows from his back, but nothing serious is connecting. Brenneman stays busy with punches to the ribs. Alves has shown little offense besides the elbows from his back. One minute to go, and Brenneman is still smothering the Brazilian. Brenneman moves back into full mount and then takes Alves’ back as the bout concludes. A clear cut victory for Brenneman. Sherdog scores it 30-27 Brenneman.
All three judges score the bout 30-27 in favor of Brenneman, the winner by unanimous decision.
Waylon Lowe vs. Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire
Round 1
Referee Dan Miragliotta is in charge of this lightweight prelim. Lowe swings an overhand left and charges behind it, plowing Chiquerim down to the canvas and up against the base of the cage. Freire doing well to keep tight, but Lowe is scooting him around the perimeter and connecting with occasional hard, short right hands. Two minutes in and Chiquerim throws some elbows from the bottom. He shifts to his left side and begins working for a kimura on Lowe’s right arm. Lowe throwing shots to the ribs of Chiquerim as he defends the submission. After a few calls for action, Miragliotta stands the fighters up. Freire seems unfazed by the decision, though he was in the midst of setting up the kimura. A right hand from Lowe drops Freire and they return to the familiar position. Lowe throws sporadic shots from on top, but nothing connects soundly.

Round 2
Lowe comes in with a combination and shoots behind it, but Freire stops it this time. Nonetheless, Lowe is in the dominant position, muscling the Brazilian into the fence and delivering some knees in the clinch. Kick-punch combination from Chiquerim is caught by Lowe and Freire goes back to the canvas. Chiquerim slaps on a triangle from the bottom, but Lowe postures up slams loose. Not much action on the floor for the middle 90 seconds as Lowe tries to pass Freire’s open guard. Miragliotta stands them back up and Chiquerim begins firing off kicks to the legs and body of Lowe, who looks to have slowed considerably. Lowe drags Freire back down and finishes the round on top.

Round 3
Freire lands an inside kick; Lowe answers with a straight left. Chiquerim starting to string punches together, then thuds a kick off the left forearm of Lowe. Freire stuffs a pair of shots from Lowe, who remains on his knees after the second attempt. Chiquerim punches him a few times before getting sucked into the trap and being taken down again. However, it’s Freire who lands on top and begins slugging the tired Lowe with short punches to the face. Lowe gets free and up to his feet, and then takes Freire down once again with about 60 seconds on the clock. Lowe is doing nothing on top at this point, but Freire can’t do much from the bottom, either. Chiquerim hunts for the same kimura he had in the opening frame, but it doesn’t come.

Rani Yahya vs. Mike Thomas Brown
Round 1
Referee Mario Yamasaki in the cage for this featherweight bout. Brown presses in from the center of the cage while Yahya takes the outside and keeps him at range with push kicks. Punch connects for Brown and Yahya goes to the mat, but he’s quickly back up. Leg kick from Yahya, and then he dives for a single-leg takedown. He has trouble holding Brown down at first, but he controls the legs and drags him to the mat. Brown grabs a loose guillotine choke on top, but Yahya rides it out and lands some hard shots to the ribcage. Brown stands and Yahya jumps guard for a guillotine of his own. Again, Brown tries to stand, but Yahya maintains control of the American’s left leg and holds him down. Hard upward elbow strike lands for Brown; Yahya answers with a bunch of short punches, with 45 seconds left. Yahya takes the back of Brown, who throws punches over his left shoulder, just as the round ends.

Round 2
Yahya goes back to circling the outside and using his kicks, but Brown is throwing with bad intentions now. As Brown closes in, Yahya jumps guard again, throwing his right arm around the head of Brown. Good defense from Brown, who keeps free of the guillotine and slams Yahya to the mat. Yahya goes for the choke again from guard. Brown doesn’t look to be in any serious trouble and waits it out, popping his head free with three minutes left. Brown works from the top, but not for long, as Yahya rolls and sweeps free beautifully. Brown puts Yahya against the fence, and again the Brazilian tries for the guillotine. Brown shoves him off. Nice left straight from Yahya is answered by a hard right by Brown. Yahya ducks a punch and ties up. Brown reverses, but Yahya lands a knee inside and exits with a left hand. Brown is stalking Yahya, but Yahya is landing solid counters to his punches. Brown grabs a front headlock but can’t finish before the round ends.

Round 3
Yahya clinches up instantly and pushes Brown into the fence with underhooks. He gets Brown to the floor and works from half-guard, then swiftly moves to Brown’s back. Brown tries to twist free and get into Yahya’s guard, but Yahya has a tight body triangle cinched up. Yahya takes back-mount, flattening Brown out and landing punches. Yamasaki warns of shots to the back of the head, so Yahya falls back and tries for the rear-naked choke. Brown defends, so Yahya postures up and blasts away. Yamasaki stands them up and issues Yahya a formal warning about the illegal punches. No point is deducted. Yahya gets another takedown; Brown winds up on top momentarily, kneeing to the body before being swept back under. That’s where it ends.

DaMarques Johnson vs. Michael Guymon
Round 1
Don Turnage referees this welterweight contest. Guymon throws out a leg kick and shoots in behind it, but Johnson stays up. After some clinching, Johnson instead throws Guymon to the ground and works from side control on his man’s left. Guymon stuffs him back to full guard. Short elbows and forearms from the top by Johnson, who steps to half-guard and then full mount. Guymon turns over and Johnson connects with a couple hard punches to the head. On his back now, Johnson locks up a body triangle and searches for a rear-naked choke. As Johnson rolls Guymon over, the body triangle is cinched so tight that Guymon verbally submits. Johnson notifies Turnage, who waves off the bout at 3:22 of the first round, with Guymon apparently having suffered a back injury.
Yves Edwards vs. Cody McKenzie
Round 1
Referee Jon Schorle is in charge of this lightweight fight, the final preliminary bout of the evening. McKenzie comes out swinging, then switches levels and shoots a double. Edwards sprawls well and backs up into the fence, but McKenzie sticks with it and drags him down momentarily. Edwards pops back up and they clinch along the fence. They disengage and Edwards begins firing and landing punches. McKenzie shoots at a single-leg, but Edwards escapes. Nice, crisp inside leg kicks from Edwards, who then snaps McKenzie’s head back with some straight punches. Edwards digs one to the ribs. McKenzie shoots and is sprawled on. Edwards getting the better on the feet, so McKenzie pulls guard. Edwards lands in mount, but McKenzie dives under for a leg lock and nearly locks up an upside-down body triangle. Edwards stands and shakes McKenzie off. McKenzie puts together a decent one-two combo, followed by a kick to the body. He drags Edwards down, but not for long, as the thug-jitsu originator pops right back up.

Round 2
Edwards taking the fight to McKenzie early, pouring on punching combinations to the heads and body, mixing in kicks and knees. McKenzie won’t go away, as he fires off flurries of his own and a pair of spinning elbow strikes. McKenzie shoots a single-leg and drags Edwards down, then takes his back. Edwards twists loose, so McKenzie goes to side control. Edwards traps the leg of McKenzie and rolls, giving up his back. It looks as though Edwards might escape, but McKenzie keeps him down and locks up a body triangle, landing a few clean punches. Schorle instructs Edwards to fight back. Edwards responds by getting to his feet, but he’s soon pulled back down. Edwards uses the cage to escape and gets into full mount with a minute remaining. McKenzie gives up his back and Edwards sinks in the rear-naked choke. The choke is fully sunk in, but McKenzie refuses to submit. Schorle officially rescues the unconscious McKenzie at 4:33 of the second round.
Cole Miller vs. Matt Wiman
Round 1
Dan Miragliotta is back to officiate this lightweight bout. Wiman throws outside leg kicks at Miller’s left knee, which is covered by a wrap or brace. Nice combination from Miller reddens the face of Wiman, who answers by coming forward with a solid high kick and uppercut. Miller swings for the fences and misses with a big overhand right. Another combo from Wiman, and he finishes with a leg kick. With two minutes gone, they clinch in the center of the cage and Miller scores with some knees up the gut. Wiman pushing forward, stringing together more combinations. Miller tries to jump guard, but falls to the mat and gets stacked up by Wiman. Miller grazes with an upkick, prompting Wiman to put one hand on the canvas. Wiman continues to stack and tries to pass to side control as he lets loose with hammerfists and elbows. Wiman stalls out in half-guard, then gets pushed back to full, but he’s undeterred, bringing down a double-axehandle chop and landing some more punches from on top before the round ends.

Round 2
Wiman comes out aggressive and shucks off Miller when he tries to throw a knee. He follows Miller to the mat and rolls him up, but can’t find an angle from which to land punches. Miller shrimps underneath and tries to sweep to top position. He settles for just standing up, where Wiman bullies him into the fence. Nice hook connects for Miller, but Wiman is landing volume shots. He drops Miller with a hard punch and doesn’t relent on the mat, punching away and cartwheeling in an attempt to pass guard. Now in Miller’s closed guard, Wiman lands a fierce elbow and again rears up for a double-fisted attack. Miller trying to get busy with punches from the bottom at Wiman stacks him up, but the shots have nothing behind them. Wiman lands another dozen punches and elbows before the round ends.

Round 3
Wiman is on fire to begin the third round, teeing off with combinations which feature strong uppercuts and high kicks. Miller returns the volley, slowing Miller down briefly, but Wiman soon goes back on the offensive. Miller tries to pull guard and gets trapped in a Wiman guillotine. He rides the choke out, but Wiman just goes back to his ground-and-pound assault. Wiman’s now thrown about a half-dozen Sakuraba-style double-axehandle chops. Miller grabs for a heel hook and Wiman easily slips loose. Last 90 seconds and Miller is doing well to control Wiman’s wrists late, avoiding damage, but he really needs a finish. Cartwheel guard pass from Wiman, who takes Miller’s back and finishes strong with punches.

According to Compustrike, Wiman out-landed Miller 88-49 in total strikes and 72-15 in power strikes. Of Wiman's 72 power strikes, 50 came on the ground.
Patrick Barry vs. Joey Beltran
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki is the third man in the cage for this heavyweight bout. The big men stalk one another for the first minute before tying up. Barry pushes Beltran into the fence and gets reversed. Beltran digs a few punches to the body and then clings on to the right leg of Barry. The takedown doesn’t come, so Beltran goes to outside knee strikes. Yamasaki breaks them up. Barry, pushing in from the center, flicks out a hard leg kick. Another leg kick from Barry, but Beltran explodes with a flurry and appears to connect with some uppercuts. He muscles Barry into the fence and chops away with more knees to the legs. A pair of Beltran knees connect low; Yamasaki sees the second and gives Barry time to recover. He does, and the heavyweights circle one another for the final 30 seconds of the round.

Round 2
Barry launches a head kick early, stalks Beltran and fires off another. Leg kicks from the former K-1 kickboxer now, moving Beltran around the outside of the cage. Beltran rushes forward with a flurry, causing Barry to cover up. Beltran pushes his man into the fence and lands a few foot stomps before dragging Barry down. Barry gets right back to his feet, but he’s still being bullied into the fence. Not enough action for referee Yamasaki, who restarts them in the center of the cage. More high kicks from Barry, but they’re not landing flush. One kick to the left leg of Beltran appears to hurt him, as he backs up and begins dancing. Barry pouring on the leg kicks now, and he drills a left high kick into Beltran’s head. Beltran’s lead leg is completely wobbly now, but he’s still coming forward on Barry. A kick to the body backs Beltran up. Again, Beltran comes forward and lands a few uppercuts, finishing the round strong.

Round 3
Barry uses a quick punch to set up another left head kick. Beltran just takes it, and then eats another, but doesn’t go down. Barry’s scoring with his kicks low and high, but the larger Beltran is using his reach to continue landing punches on. Beltran shoves Barry into the fence again, landing more outside knees and a slew of uppercuts. Halfway done with the final round and Beltran is controlling the action. Yamasaki splits them up once more. Barry instantly goes back to his kicks, landing on the left leg of Beltran and just missing with a head kick. Barry sets up a leg kick by pushing off of Beltran with his left hand, but inadvertently jabs Beltran in the eye. Beltran falls to his knees in pain; the doctor checks him out and allows the fight to go on. Beltran is still squinting as the action resumes and Barry goes after his leg again. Beltran goes down and Barry gives chase, now punching the damaged leg of Beltran. They stand with 30 seconds left and Barry slaps the face of Beltran with a right high kick. Barry digs a punch to the body and Beltran lands over the top. Barry lands a trio of leg kicks as the match ends and Beltran collapses to the mat.

Mark Hominick vs. George Roop
Round 1
Referee Don Turnage oversees this important featherweight contest. Roop flashing kicks and knees early, trying to use his lanky frame to keep his former training partner at bay. Big right hand from Hominick floors Roop, but he’s quickly back to his feet. Hominick lands a left hook and a right straight. Another left hand puts the already-wobbly Roop on his rear at the base of the cage. Hominick lands a single follow-up punch before Turnage steps in to halt the action. Roop was dazed, but never lost consciousness. The end officially came 88 seconds into the opening round. With the win, Hominick has secured himself a title shot against featherweight champ Jose Aldo, most likely at UFC 129 in April.
Matt Mitrione vs. Tim Hague
Round 1
Referee Dan Miragliotta is back in the cage for the heavyweight co-main event. Mitrione lands a left hand and a few inside leg kicks early. Hague catches one low kick and shoves Mitrione into the fence. Mitrione grabs a loose headlock and uses it to reverse, then knees Hague in the face as he disengages. Short left hand from Mitrione drops Hague, but Mitrione doesn’t give chase and lets Hague stand back up. Long shot from Hague is easily slipped by Mitrione. More leg kicks, then another straight left hand drops Hague, who goes fetal as Mitrione pounces and violently finishes with punches. The official time is 2:59 of the first round.
According to Compustrike, Mitrione landed 20 of 31 strikes in his quick performance, 16 of which were power strikes. Hague attempted seven total strikes, landing five.
Melvin Guillard vs. Evan Dunham
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki draws officiating duties for the lightweight main event. Dunham lands an early kick to the midsection, then shoots for a single-leg. Guillard gets a couple hammerfists in as Dunham struggles to complete the takedown, but eventually, they hit the mat. Guillard sits up against the base of the cage as Dunham controls his legs and tries to pass. Guillard hops up and lands a fast bunch of punches to the face of Dunham. Combination from Guillard floors Dunham and the “Young Assassin” smells blood. Dunham clinging to a single leg as Guillard just tees off. A big knee hurts Dunham, and another puts him on the ground. Guillard begins to throw more punches, but Yamasaki steps in to rescue Dunham. The end comes officially at 2:58 of the first period.

Alves misses with a low leg kick. The Brazilian connects with another low kick, but Brenneman is able to follow with a takedown. Brenneman pushes Alves against the cage, but is unable to sweep his opponent to the mat. Now Brenneman has double underhooks as a chant of “U.S.A.” breaks out. The fighters are separated. Brenneman shoots but Alves stuffs and lands a couple knees, and Brenneman is persistent and scores yet another takedown. Brenneman lands four or five punches to Alves' face from side control. In half guard, Brenneman grinds his opponent into the cage. He works into side control, and Alves shows no signs of getting up. Alves finally connects with some elbows from half guard as the round ends. 10-9 Brenneman.
Round 3
Alves needs to finish the fight to have any chance of winning. Brenneman still looks fresh as the fighters circle each other. Alves feints and then lands a jab. Alves fakes a knee, and Brenneman pushes him against the cage again before taking him down and moving into side control. Alves receives three solid knees to the body. Alves is in full guard and throwing elbows from his back, but nothing serious is connecting. Brenneman stays busy with punches to the ribs. Alves has shown little offense besides the elbows from his back. One minute to go, and Brenneman is still smothering the Brazilian. Brenneman moves back into full mount and then takes Alves’ back as the bout concludes. A clear cut victory for Brenneman. Sherdog scores it 30-27 Brenneman.
All three judges score the bout 30-27 in favor of Brenneman, the winner by unanimous decision.
Waylon Lowe vs. Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire
Round 1
Referee Dan Miragliotta is in charge of this lightweight prelim. Lowe swings an overhand left and charges behind it, plowing Chiquerim down to the canvas and up against the base of the cage. Freire doing well to keep tight, but Lowe is scooting him around the perimeter and connecting with occasional hard, short right hands. Two minutes in and Chiquerim throws some elbows from the bottom. He shifts to his left side and begins working for a kimura on Lowe’s right arm. Lowe throwing shots to the ribs of Chiquerim as he defends the submission. After a few calls for action, Miragliotta stands the fighters up. Freire seems unfazed by the decision, though he was in the midst of setting up the kimura. A right hand from Lowe drops Freire and they return to the familiar position. Lowe throws sporadic shots from on top, but nothing connects soundly.

Round 2
Lowe comes in with a combination and shoots behind it, but Freire stops it this time. Nonetheless, Lowe is in the dominant position, muscling the Brazilian into the fence and delivering some knees in the clinch. Kick-punch combination from Chiquerim is caught by Lowe and Freire goes back to the canvas. Chiquerim slaps on a triangle from the bottom, but Lowe postures up slams loose. Not much action on the floor for the middle 90 seconds as Lowe tries to pass Freire’s open guard. Miragliotta stands them back up and Chiquerim begins firing off kicks to the legs and body of Lowe, who looks to have slowed considerably. Lowe drags Freire back down and finishes the round on top.

Round 3
Freire lands an inside kick; Lowe answers with a straight left. Chiquerim starting to string punches together, then thuds a kick off the left forearm of Lowe. Freire stuffs a pair of shots from Lowe, who remains on his knees after the second attempt. Chiquerim punches him a few times before getting sucked into the trap and being taken down again. However, it’s Freire who lands on top and begins slugging the tired Lowe with short punches to the face. Lowe gets free and up to his feet, and then takes Freire down once again with about 60 seconds on the clock. Lowe is doing nothing on top at this point, but Freire can’t do much from the bottom, either. Chiquerim hunts for the same kimura he had in the opening frame, but it doesn’t come.

Referee Mario Yamasaki in the cage for this featherweight bout. Brown presses in from the center of the cage while Yahya takes the outside and keeps him at range with push kicks. Punch connects for Brown and Yahya goes to the mat, but he’s quickly back up. Leg kick from Yahya, and then he dives for a single-leg takedown. He has trouble holding Brown down at first, but he controls the legs and drags him to the mat. Brown grabs a loose guillotine choke on top, but Yahya rides it out and lands some hard shots to the ribcage. Brown stands and Yahya jumps guard for a guillotine of his own. Again, Brown tries to stand, but Yahya maintains control of the American’s left leg and holds him down. Hard upward elbow strike lands for Brown; Yahya answers with a bunch of short punches, with 45 seconds left. Yahya takes the back of Brown, who throws punches over his left shoulder, just as the round ends.

Round 2
Yahya goes back to circling the outside and using his kicks, but Brown is throwing with bad intentions now. As Brown closes in, Yahya jumps guard again, throwing his right arm around the head of Brown. Good defense from Brown, who keeps free of the guillotine and slams Yahya to the mat. Yahya goes for the choke again from guard. Brown doesn’t look to be in any serious trouble and waits it out, popping his head free with three minutes left. Brown works from the top, but not for long, as Yahya rolls and sweeps free beautifully. Brown puts Yahya against the fence, and again the Brazilian tries for the guillotine. Brown shoves him off. Nice left straight from Yahya is answered by a hard right by Brown. Yahya ducks a punch and ties up. Brown reverses, but Yahya lands a knee inside and exits with a left hand. Brown is stalking Yahya, but Yahya is landing solid counters to his punches. Brown grabs a front headlock but can’t finish before the round ends.

Round 3
Yahya clinches up instantly and pushes Brown into the fence with underhooks. He gets Brown to the floor and works from half-guard, then swiftly moves to Brown’s back. Brown tries to twist free and get into Yahya’s guard, but Yahya has a tight body triangle cinched up. Yahya takes back-mount, flattening Brown out and landing punches. Yamasaki warns of shots to the back of the head, so Yahya falls back and tries for the rear-naked choke. Brown defends, so Yahya postures up and blasts away. Yamasaki stands them up and issues Yahya a formal warning about the illegal punches. No point is deducted. Yahya gets another takedown; Brown winds up on top momentarily, kneeing to the body before being swept back under. That’s where it ends.

Round 1
Don Turnage referees this welterweight contest. Guymon throws out a leg kick and shoots in behind it, but Johnson stays up. After some clinching, Johnson instead throws Guymon to the ground and works from side control on his man’s left. Guymon stuffs him back to full guard. Short elbows and forearms from the top by Johnson, who steps to half-guard and then full mount. Guymon turns over and Johnson connects with a couple hard punches to the head. On his back now, Johnson locks up a body triangle and searches for a rear-naked choke. As Johnson rolls Guymon over, the body triangle is cinched so tight that Guymon verbally submits. Johnson notifies Turnage, who waves off the bout at 3:22 of the first round, with Guymon apparently having suffered a back injury.
Yves Edwards vs. Cody McKenzie
Round 1
Referee Jon Schorle is in charge of this lightweight fight, the final preliminary bout of the evening. McKenzie comes out swinging, then switches levels and shoots a double. Edwards sprawls well and backs up into the fence, but McKenzie sticks with it and drags him down momentarily. Edwards pops back up and they clinch along the fence. They disengage and Edwards begins firing and landing punches. McKenzie shoots at a single-leg, but Edwards escapes. Nice, crisp inside leg kicks from Edwards, who then snaps McKenzie’s head back with some straight punches. Edwards digs one to the ribs. McKenzie shoots and is sprawled on. Edwards getting the better on the feet, so McKenzie pulls guard. Edwards lands in mount, but McKenzie dives under for a leg lock and nearly locks up an upside-down body triangle. Edwards stands and shakes McKenzie off. McKenzie puts together a decent one-two combo, followed by a kick to the body. He drags Edwards down, but not for long, as the thug-jitsu originator pops right back up.

Round 2
Edwards taking the fight to McKenzie early, pouring on punching combinations to the heads and body, mixing in kicks and knees. McKenzie won’t go away, as he fires off flurries of his own and a pair of spinning elbow strikes. McKenzie shoots a single-leg and drags Edwards down, then takes his back. Edwards twists loose, so McKenzie goes to side control. Edwards traps the leg of McKenzie and rolls, giving up his back. It looks as though Edwards might escape, but McKenzie keeps him down and locks up a body triangle, landing a few clean punches. Schorle instructs Edwards to fight back. Edwards responds by getting to his feet, but he’s soon pulled back down. Edwards uses the cage to escape and gets into full mount with a minute remaining. McKenzie gives up his back and Edwards sinks in the rear-naked choke. The choke is fully sunk in, but McKenzie refuses to submit. Schorle officially rescues the unconscious McKenzie at 4:33 of the second round.
Cole Miller vs. Matt Wiman
Round 1
Dan Miragliotta is back to officiate this lightweight bout. Wiman throws outside leg kicks at Miller’s left knee, which is covered by a wrap or brace. Nice combination from Miller reddens the face of Wiman, who answers by coming forward with a solid high kick and uppercut. Miller swings for the fences and misses with a big overhand right. Another combo from Wiman, and he finishes with a leg kick. With two minutes gone, they clinch in the center of the cage and Miller scores with some knees up the gut. Wiman pushing forward, stringing together more combinations. Miller tries to jump guard, but falls to the mat and gets stacked up by Wiman. Miller grazes with an upkick, prompting Wiman to put one hand on the canvas. Wiman continues to stack and tries to pass to side control as he lets loose with hammerfists and elbows. Wiman stalls out in half-guard, then gets pushed back to full, but he’s undeterred, bringing down a double-axehandle chop and landing some more punches from on top before the round ends.

Round 2
Wiman comes out aggressive and shucks off Miller when he tries to throw a knee. He follows Miller to the mat and rolls him up, but can’t find an angle from which to land punches. Miller shrimps underneath and tries to sweep to top position. He settles for just standing up, where Wiman bullies him into the fence. Nice hook connects for Miller, but Wiman is landing volume shots. He drops Miller with a hard punch and doesn’t relent on the mat, punching away and cartwheeling in an attempt to pass guard. Now in Miller’s closed guard, Wiman lands a fierce elbow and again rears up for a double-fisted attack. Miller trying to get busy with punches from the bottom at Wiman stacks him up, but the shots have nothing behind them. Wiman lands another dozen punches and elbows before the round ends.

Round 3
Wiman is on fire to begin the third round, teeing off with combinations which feature strong uppercuts and high kicks. Miller returns the volley, slowing Miller down briefly, but Wiman soon goes back on the offensive. Miller tries to pull guard and gets trapped in a Wiman guillotine. He rides the choke out, but Wiman just goes back to his ground-and-pound assault. Wiman’s now thrown about a half-dozen Sakuraba-style double-axehandle chops. Miller grabs for a heel hook and Wiman easily slips loose. Last 90 seconds and Miller is doing well to control Wiman’s wrists late, avoiding damage, but he really needs a finish. Cartwheel guard pass from Wiman, who takes Miller’s back and finishes strong with punches.

According to Compustrike, Wiman out-landed Miller 88-49 in total strikes and 72-15 in power strikes. Of Wiman's 72 power strikes, 50 came on the ground.
Patrick Barry vs. Joey Beltran
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki is the third man in the cage for this heavyweight bout. The big men stalk one another for the first minute before tying up. Barry pushes Beltran into the fence and gets reversed. Beltran digs a few punches to the body and then clings on to the right leg of Barry. The takedown doesn’t come, so Beltran goes to outside knee strikes. Yamasaki breaks them up. Barry, pushing in from the center, flicks out a hard leg kick. Another leg kick from Barry, but Beltran explodes with a flurry and appears to connect with some uppercuts. He muscles Barry into the fence and chops away with more knees to the legs. A pair of Beltran knees connect low; Yamasaki sees the second and gives Barry time to recover. He does, and the heavyweights circle one another for the final 30 seconds of the round.

Round 2
Barry launches a head kick early, stalks Beltran and fires off another. Leg kicks from the former K-1 kickboxer now, moving Beltran around the outside of the cage. Beltran rushes forward with a flurry, causing Barry to cover up. Beltran pushes his man into the fence and lands a few foot stomps before dragging Barry down. Barry gets right back to his feet, but he’s still being bullied into the fence. Not enough action for referee Yamasaki, who restarts them in the center of the cage. More high kicks from Barry, but they’re not landing flush. One kick to the left leg of Beltran appears to hurt him, as he backs up and begins dancing. Barry pouring on the leg kicks now, and he drills a left high kick into Beltran’s head. Beltran’s lead leg is completely wobbly now, but he’s still coming forward on Barry. A kick to the body backs Beltran up. Again, Beltran comes forward and lands a few uppercuts, finishing the round strong.

Round 3
Barry uses a quick punch to set up another left head kick. Beltran just takes it, and then eats another, but doesn’t go down. Barry’s scoring with his kicks low and high, but the larger Beltran is using his reach to continue landing punches on. Beltran shoves Barry into the fence again, landing more outside knees and a slew of uppercuts. Halfway done with the final round and Beltran is controlling the action. Yamasaki splits them up once more. Barry instantly goes back to his kicks, landing on the left leg of Beltran and just missing with a head kick. Barry sets up a leg kick by pushing off of Beltran with his left hand, but inadvertently jabs Beltran in the eye. Beltran falls to his knees in pain; the doctor checks him out and allows the fight to go on. Beltran is still squinting as the action resumes and Barry goes after his leg again. Beltran goes down and Barry gives chase, now punching the damaged leg of Beltran. They stand with 30 seconds left and Barry slaps the face of Beltran with a right high kick. Barry digs a punch to the body and Beltran lands over the top. Barry lands a trio of leg kicks as the match ends and Beltran collapses to the mat.

Mark Hominick vs. George Roop
Round 1
Referee Don Turnage oversees this important featherweight contest. Roop flashing kicks and knees early, trying to use his lanky frame to keep his former training partner at bay. Big right hand from Hominick floors Roop, but he’s quickly back to his feet. Hominick lands a left hook and a right straight. Another left hand puts the already-wobbly Roop on his rear at the base of the cage. Hominick lands a single follow-up punch before Turnage steps in to halt the action. Roop was dazed, but never lost consciousness. The end officially came 88 seconds into the opening round. With the win, Hominick has secured himself a title shot against featherweight champ Jose Aldo, most likely at UFC 129 in April.
Matt Mitrione vs. Tim Hague
Round 1
Referee Dan Miragliotta is back in the cage for the heavyweight co-main event. Mitrione lands a left hand and a few inside leg kicks early. Hague catches one low kick and shoves Mitrione into the fence. Mitrione grabs a loose headlock and uses it to reverse, then knees Hague in the face as he disengages. Short left hand from Mitrione drops Hague, but Mitrione doesn’t give chase and lets Hague stand back up. Long shot from Hague is easily slipped by Mitrione. More leg kicks, then another straight left hand drops Hague, who goes fetal as Mitrione pounces and violently finishes with punches. The official time is 2:59 of the first round.
According to Compustrike, Mitrione landed 20 of 31 strikes in his quick performance, 16 of which were power strikes. Hague attempted seven total strikes, landing five.
Melvin Guillard vs. Evan Dunham
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki draws officiating duties for the lightweight main event. Dunham lands an early kick to the midsection, then shoots for a single-leg. Guillard gets a couple hammerfists in as Dunham struggles to complete the takedown, but eventually, they hit the mat. Guillard sits up against the base of the cage as Dunham controls his legs and tries to pass. Guillard hops up and lands a fast bunch of punches to the face of Dunham. Combination from Guillard floors Dunham and the “Young Assassin” smells blood. Dunham clinging to a single leg as Guillard just tees off. A big knee hurts Dunham, and another puts him on the ground. Guillard begins to throw more punches, but Yamasaki steps in to rescue Dunham. The end comes officially at 2:58 of the first period.
