UFC Flyweight Paige VanZant Announces Engagement to Fighter Austin Vanderford

UFC flyweight Paige VanZant will be tying the knot sometime in the near future.

On Sunday, VanZant revealed on social media that she is engaged to fellow fighter Austin Vanderford. “I said yes!!” VanZant wrote.

A crossover star who reached the finals of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2016, VanZant has struggled in the Octagon lately, losing three of his last four appearances. The 23-year-old moved up to flyweight in her most recent outing but fell to Jessica Rose-Clark via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 124 on Jan. 14. “12 Gauge” is 4-3 in the UFC and 7-4 as a professional overall.

Vanderford, 27, competes at welterweight and has compiled a 3-0 record on the regional scene. Most recently, “AK-47” submitted Kenny Licea with a second-round rear-naked choke at Victory Fighting Championship 59 on Dec. 16.
