Rory Markham has run afoul of the law again.

The UFC and International Fight League veteran was arrested Friday on charges of aggravated assault in Chicago, according to Cook County Sheriff’s Department records. Bail has been set at $50,000, and Markham is scheduled to appear in court in Bridgeview, Ill., on Sept. 17.

It is not the first time the 33-year-old former Miletich Martial Arts representative has gotten into trouble. In November 2013, Markham was arrested on charges of charges of domestic battery and bodily harm in Chicago and in March of that year, he was arrested on a felony assault charge in Davenport, Iowa.

Markham has not fought since March 27, 2010, when he suffered a first-round technical knockout loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 111. He owns a 16-6 record over the course of a professional career that began in 2003.
