Prior to his dominant victory over Anthony Perosh last night at UFC Fight Night 33, light heavyweight Ryan Bader decided to give back to members of the United States military.

According to a Friday announcement, Bader pledged $10,000 to support the SEAL - Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Family Foundation. Bader’s contribution is being matched by one of his sponsors, Incapital, for a total donation of $20,000.

Bader asserts that his personal support for the men and women of the armed forces is just beginning.

“The men and women in the United States military allow me to live my dream, and I want to continue to do everything I can to thank them,” said Bader. “There is a lot more I want to do in the year ahead to give back to those who serve our country.”

This is not the first time that “Darth” felt generous this year. He previously made a $5,000 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that focuses on providing programs and services to soldiers who are severely injured in battle.

Bader, 30, joined the UFC five years ago as the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 8,” earning 12 straight victories to kick off his pro career. The former Arizona State University wrestler won five consecutive bouts to begin his Octagon run but has since posted a mark of 4-4. Bader rebounded from a September defeat to Glover Teixeira in his recent clash with Perosh, laying heavy ground-and-pound on the veteran en route to a one-sided unanimous decision win at the Brisbane Entertainment Center in Brisbane, Australia.
