UFC London Medical Suspensions: Michael Bisping, 4 Others Facing 6-Month Layoffs

Michael Bisping could be sidelined for six months following the biggest win of his career to date.

Bisping, who defeated Anderson Silva via unanimous decision in the UFC Fight Night London headliner last weekend, must receive a clean CT scan before he can return to the Octagon. At the minimum, “The Count” cannot fight for 44 days, with no contact for a month. Bisping was floored by a flying knee from Silva at the end of the third round of their middleweight scrap but recovered between periods.

Silva, meanwhile, emerged relatively unscathed. He cannot compete for 30 days, with no contact for 21 days.

UFC Fight Night took place at the O2 in London on Feb. 27. The UFC, which acted as its own regulating body for the event, released a list of medical suspensions to mixedmartialarts.com on Friday.

Four other fighters from the card are facing potential six-month layoffs: Marlon Vera (right elbow), Bradley Scott (right knee), Norman Parke (right knee); and Teemu Packalen (left shoulder).
