The Ultimate Fighting Championship may have to change the date and venue for the heavyweight title rematch between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez.

According to a report from “UFC Tonight,” the Las Vegas-based promotion initially wanted to book the bout for Curitiba, Brazil, but those plans have hit some type of unspecified “stumbling block.” As a result, the championship fight could be moved to UFC 196 on Feb. 6, which is the organization’s traditional Super Bowl weekend card.

The Curitiba event has yet to be announced, although Anderson Silva recently hinted that the card was in the works during an appearance at Eurasia Fight Nights in Dagestan in late September.

UFC 196 is scheduled for MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas; no bouts have been announced for the event. Werdum defeated Velasquez via third-round submission at UFC 188 in Mexico City this past June, giving the Brazilian six straight victories in the Octagon.
