The Ultimate Fighting Championship will no longer be going head-to-head with Bellator MMA on Jan. 21.

The Las Vegas-based promotion announced Thursday that its pay-per-view event scheduled for the Honda Center in Anaheim, originally entitled UFC 208, has been moved to Aug. 5. As a result, the card UFC 209 card set for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Feb. 11 will now become UFC 208 (online betting).

No reason was given for the change. As it stands now, there are two events scheduled for January: UFC Fight Night 103 “Rodriguez vs. Penn” in Phoenix on Jan. 15 and UFC on Fox 23 at the Pepsi Center in Denver on Jan. 28.

The Anaheim event was initially set for the same day as Bellator 170, which takes place at the Forum in Los Angeles features a light heavyweight showdown between Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen.
