UFC Planning to Hold Event in South Korea Sometime in 2015

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will makes its promotional debut on South Korean soil in 2015.

According to a report from UFC Tonight on Wednesday, UFC President Dana White announced plans for the promotion to continue its expansion in Asia. If all goes according to plan, the event will take place in Seoul.

Some of the prominent South Korean fighters currently on the UFC roster include Dong Hyun Kim, Chan Sung Jung, Hyun Gyu Lim, Yui Chul Nam and Kyung Ho Kang.

Road FC is currently the most prominent MMA organization in South Korea. The promotion has held 23 events since 2010, with Road FC 19 currently scheduled to take place on Oct. 26. Prior to Road FC’s emergence, Spirit Martial Challenge, was the country’s largest MMA promotion; it held its last event in 2010.
