The 24-year-old British prospect announced via Facebook that he will be moving from welterweight to middleweight for his next UFC bout.
“No more draining myself down to 170,” he wrote. “My future [is] at 185; I’m ready to rumble with these big boys.”
Breese began his MMA career with 10 straight victories, including triumphs over Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr., Cathal Pendred and Keita Nakamura in the UFC. However, in his most recent appearance the Tristar Gym representative dropped a split decision against Sean Strickland at UFC 199. Breese does not currently have his next fight booked.
