UFC Reveals Lightweight, Welterweight Cast for Season 2 of ‘TUF: Latin America’

The UFC has revealed the 16-member cast for Season 2 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.”

The reality show began taping on March 17 and will premiere on UFC Fight Pass on Aug. 26. It will also show on free-to-air network television in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

UFC talents Kelvin Gastelum and Efrain Escudero will coach the cast, which consists of eight lightweights and eight welterweights from Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Mexico Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Spain.

The 155- and 170-pound winners will be crowned at the “TUF” finale later this year. While a date and venue for the card have not been announced, the event will be the UFC’s second in Mexico in 2015, according to a release. The first will occur on June 13, when Cain Velasquez faces Fabricio Werdum in a heavyweight title tilt at UFC 188 in Mexico City.
