The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s blockbuster December just got a little more crowded.
UFC President Dana White announced during Friday’s “Go Big” press conference that the promotion will hold an event at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Thursday, Dec. 10. No fights were announced for the card, which is expected to stream on Fight Pass.
With the addition of the new event, the UFC will now hold three events in the span of three days. The UFC Fight Night card precedes "The Ultimate Fighter 22" finale, which takes place on Dec. 11 and will also be held at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan. The busy weekend culminates with UFC 194 at the MGM Grand on Dec. 12, arguably the year’s biggest event.
“So we have all these great fights having in December. It’s literally the best December we’ve ever had in the company’s history,” White said. “We started looking at the end of the year. A lot of people needed fights, so we said let’s do three in a row. We’ll do Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s a killer weekend in Vegas, right before Christmas, and we’re gonna do it.”
