The five-bout main card for UFC 132, the UFC’s annual Fourth of July weekend pay-per-view offering, has been determined.

The promotion announced Wednesday that its July 2 event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas will be headlined by a bantamweight title tilt between champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Urijah Faber.

The pair previously met in March 2007, when then-WEC featherweight champ Faber submitted “The Dominator” in Cruz’s Zuffa debut. Cruz has since won eight consecutive bouts, while Faber has gone 2-0 since dropping to 135 pounds in November.

“There is no love lost between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber and they are both fired up to not only fight again, but to fight for the UFC bantamweight title,” UFC President Dana White stated in a release.

Occupying the show’s co-main event slot is a matchup of middleweight crowd-pleasers Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben. The Brazilian “Axe Murderer” has not competed since a February 2010 decisioning of Michael Bisping. Leben, meanwhile, looks to rebound from a January knockout at the hands of Brian Stann which halted an impressive three-fight win streak.

Rounding out the pay-per-view card will be a lightweight bout between German striker Dennis Siver and three-time “Fight of the Night” winner Matt Wiman; a 205-pound matchup pitting ex-light heavyweight champ Tito Ortiz against up-and-coming wrestler Ryan Bader; and a welterweight attraction featuring former WEC champ Carlos Condit against unbeaten Korean “Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim.

Plans have not been announced regarding the airing of UFC 132’s preliminary contests.
