The Ultimate Fighting Championship has signed Guan Wang and is targeting the promotion’s June 17 date in Singapore for the Chinese prospect’s Octagon debut.

The Las Vegas-based organization announced the signing on Monday. The UFC recently confirmed that it would travel to Singapore Indoor Stadium for a Fight Night event on June 17 (latest odds).

“I will continue to keep a clean record in the UFC, showing the world my ‘China Power,’” Wang Guan said in a release. “It’s a dream come true, my ability is approved by the UFC now. This also means the opponents I face next will be the best in the world. This will push me to train even harder.”

Wang, 30, has compiled a 15-1-1 mark since beginning his professional career in 2006 and will fight at featherweight in the Octagon. His lone career defeat came against World Series of Fighting bantamweight title hopeful Bekbulat Magomedovin November 2013. The Beijing native, who has not competed outside of his home country, has finished 10 of his victories by KO/TKO and three via submission.
