Flyweight prospect Tagir Ulanbekov has signed a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the deal through its Russian social media channels. According to Russian outlet TASS, Ulanbekov is a training partner of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
A native of Dagestan, Ulanbekov owns a 10-1 professional mark. He captured the Fight Nights Global flyweight championship with a submission of Vartan Asatryan in October 2017 but relinquished the belt in a majority decision loss to Zhalgas Zhumagulov in August 2018.
Ulanbekov went 3-0 with the Gorilla Fighting promotion in 2019. He has finished five of his triumphs by submission, four by decision and one via TKO.
