The Ultimate Fighting Championship has signed former Bellator talent Jessica Eye.
UFC officials have not announced when Eye will make her Octagon debut, though the fighter has reportedly been linked to a pairing with former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman. No official announcement has come from the promotion regarding Eye’s signing, but the fighter now appears on UFC.com as a member of the organization’s bantamweight roster.
Eye currently rides a seven-fight win streak and was last defeated by Irish talent Aisling Daly under the North American Allied Fight Series banner back in 2011. “Evil” made her first Bellator appearance later that year and posted a 3-0 promotional record before receiving her Bellator release when the Viacom-owned organization dissolved its women’s division earlier this month.
The 27-year-old last competed for Bellator, when she choked out then-strawweight champion Zoila Frausto Gurgel in a non-title, 125-pound bout at Bellator 83. Eye most recently returned to the NAAFS ranks this past June, outpointing Strikeforce vet Carina Damm at “Fight Night in the Flats 9.”
