For a second it seemed as though England’s Ian Entwistle was going to have a short night. He immediately latched onto Alejandro Perez’s leg and went for a heel hook as soon as the fight started, but the California-based Mexican defended it perfectly.
Entwistle attacked the leg a few more times before complaining to referee Grant Waterman that he thought Perez had greased legs. Waterman examined the TUF Latin America veteran and he was clean, but it didn’t stop the Brit from attempting dozens of leg attacks. Perez avoided them all and eventually got into top position, where he hammered his foe with a never-ending cascade of punches until Waterman finally stopped it when Entwistle verbally submitted. The official time of the TKO was of the opening frame.
