Carlyle, who dropped a unanimous verdict to Billy Quarantillo in a 150-pound catchweight bout, must have his left knee MRI cleared by an orthopedic physician or he will be sidelined six months. At a minimum, Carlyle is not allowed to have contact for 21 days.
Morales, meanwhile, suffered a second-round TKO loss to Chris
Gutierrez due to leg kicks in a preliminary featherweight tilt.
He must have a right orbital fracture cleared by an opthalmologist
or face a six-month sit. At a minimum, Morales is suspended 45 days
with no contact for 30 days.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission released a full list of medical suspensions from the event on Monday.
UFC on ESPN 9 took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday and saw Gilbert Burns defeat Tyron Woodley by unanimous decision in the evening’s welterweight headliner. Woodley is suspended 45 days or until a left eyebrow laceration is cleared by a doctor. He is not allowed contact for 30 days. Burns was suspended 30 days with 21 days of no contact.
