Two new bouts have been added to the growing UFC on Fox 15 lineup, as Paige VanZant will square off with Felice Herrig at strawweight, while Jim Miller will meet Paul Felder at lightweight in Newark, N.J. on April 18.
The matchups were announced during Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight. UFC on Fox 15 takes place at the Prudential Center and is headlined by a middleweight showdown pitting Luke Rockhold against Lyoto Machida.
The 20-year-old VanZant made her Octagon debut on Nov. 22, earning a third-round technical knockout victory over Kailin Curran at UFC Fight Night “Edgar vs. Swanson.” VanZant is 4-1 as a professional, with her lone defeat coming against Tecia Torres at Invicta FC 4.
After competing on Season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Herrig submitted Lisa Ellis with a second-round armbar at the show’s finale on Dec. 12. “Lil Bulldog” owns a 10-5 career mark, including six victories via decision.
An 18-time UFC veteran, Miller will attempt to rebound from a second-round knockout loss to Felder training partner Donald Cerrone on July 16. The AMA Fight Club representative owns victories over the likes of Joe Lauzon, Melvin Guillard, Gleison Tiabu, Charles Oliveira and Mark Bocek, among others, during his promotional tenure.
Felder, who is unbeaten in nine professional outings, turned heads at UFC 182 with a spectacular spinning back-fist knockout of Danny Castillo. “The Irish Dragon” was also victorious in his Octagon debut, as he captured a split verdict against Jason Saggo at UFC Fight Night “MacDonald vs. Saffiedine.”
