A middleweight tilt pitting Vitor Miranda against Nick Catone has been added to UFC on Fox 15.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the pairing on Thursday. The fight joins a card headlined by Lyoto Machida against Luke Rockhold and takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J, on April 18.
Miranda, 35, has gone .500 since joining the UFC, dropping a unanimous decision against Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC Fight Night “Miocic vs. Maldonado,” and bouncing back with a technical knockout of Jake Collier at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway.” “Lex Luthor” has suffered a pair of losses against fellow UFC talent Fabio Maldonado outside the Octagon earlier in his career.
Catone, 33, owns a record of 4-4 under the UFC banner. A Ring of Combat veteran, “The Jersey Devil” most recently defeated Tom Watson via split decision at UFC 169. Of Catone’s 10 professional wins, six have come before reaching the judges’ scorecards.
