UFC on Fox 16 Slated for Chicago’s United Center on July 25

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to the Windy City for another Fox card this summer.

Promotion officials announced on Wednesday that UFC on Fox 16 will take place at the United Center in Chicago on July 25. No bouts for the event were revealed.

The UFC’s last visited Chicago on Jan. 25, 2014 for UFC on Fox 10. In the evening’s main event, Benson Henderson captured a controversial split verdict over Josh Thomson, while Stipe Miocic outpointed Gabriel Gonzaga in the co-headliner.

Including the most-recently announced event, the Las Vegas-based promotion’s last four trips to Chicago have been for Fox-televised cards.
