A women’s bantamweight clash between Sarah Kaufman and Germaine de Randamie is slated for UFC on Fox 17.
The UFC confirmed the booking to the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. UFC on Fox 17 takes place at Amway Center in Orlando on Dec. 19 and is headlined by a lightweight title tilt between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
Kaufman, a former Strikeforce titlist, is coming off a second-round submission loss to Alexis Davis at UFC 186 on April 25. The 29-year-old Canadian is 17-3 as a professional overall and owns triumphs over the likes of Davis, Leslie Smith, Liz Carmouche, Shayna Baszler and Miesha Tate.
Known as “The Iron Lady,” de Randamie has won two of her first three UFC bouts. The 31-year-old Netherlands native has bested Julie Kedzie and Larissa Pacheco while falling to Amanda Nunes during her brief promotional tenure.
