Sage Northcutt has been suspended indefinitely following his submission loss to Bryan Barberena at UFC on Fox 18.
Northcutt, who tapped to an arm triangle at the 3:06 mark of round two this past Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., will need X-rays of his right foot and toes before he is cleared to compete again. He was also handed a 30-day suspension for a forehead laceration.

Five other fighters from Saturday’s card were suspended indefinitely: Jake Ellenberger (left forearm), Carlos Diego Ferreira (left ankle), Rafael Natal (opthalmological clearance), Matt Dwyer (opthalmological exam) and Damon Jackson (opthalmological exam, right foot).
