UFC on Fox 23 Highlight: Watch Jorge Masvidal Crack Donald Cerrone

Jorge Masvidal has felt as though he’s been overlooked by virtually everybody going into his co-feature fight with Donald Cerrone.

He made sure that when the battle was over that the MMA world would be abuzz about his performance. Masvidal used a brilliant jab to flummox “Cowboy” for most of the opening round and when he unleashed a vicious left-right combo to the head at the end of the first, he nearly scored the TKO. Time ran out as referee Herb Dean intervened as the horn sounded, but “Gamebred” didn’t let his rival off the hook in second. A crushing overhand right caused the Coloradoan into the cage and from there, Masvidal tore into him with punches to the head and body, prompting Dean to halt the contest. The official time of the TKO came 60 seconds into the stanza.
